The Strange Afterlife of Collections,” Rod Shene will address the practical concerns and problems of the evaluation and dispersal of collections, with a focus on rare and collectible books, as well as related materials, such as manuscripts, diaries, documents, and correspondence.  Large, and even small, personal libraries can reflect a lifetime of collecting or solely mirror a generational accumulation.
