Estate Planning Council Committees
Membership Committee
The President shall annually select from the Members of the Board of Directors two co- chairpersons of the Membership Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other members of the Council as the Membership Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic). Any vacancy occurring in the Membership Committee may be filled by the Chairman or by the President. The Membership Committee's primary responsibilities are to increase and enhance the membership of the Council by attracting new members who meet the Council's qualifications, to assist prospective members through the membership application process, and to assist current and lapsed members with renewal of their membership.
From time to time, the Membership Committee also develops new guidelines for membership, as well as establishes special initiatives for membership growth.
Programs Committee
The Vice President shall serve as Chairman of the Programs Committee. Upon taking office, the Vice President shall select no more than six
(6) other Members to serve as the Program Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic). Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Program Committee may be filled by the Vice President. The Program Committee shall be responsible for developing and implementing educational and other programs for the membership.
Marketing & Communications Committee
Communications Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other Members to serve as the Marketing & Communications Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic). Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Committee may be filled by the President. The Marketing & Communications Committee shall oversee all aspects of internal and external communications for the Council.
The goal of the committee is to provide thought leadership on design and web access to enhance the member experience. The committee advises staff on communications through the website, while also establishing policies for consistent messaging and style for application across all Council communications, whether online or in print. The committee will also implement and administer the social media presence for the Council.
Social Committee
The President shall annually select from the Members of the Board of Directors two co- chairpersons of the Social Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other Members to serve as the Social Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic).
Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Committee may be filled by the President. The Social Committee shall plan and oversee all social and networking events of the Council. The goal of the committee is to promote social and business networking within the Council Membership and prospective Members. The Committee coordinates events with other Council committees to help grow membership and enhance Member networking opportunities.
Annual Outing Committee
The President shall annually select from the Members of the Board of Directors one chairperson of the Annual Outing Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other members of the Council as the Annual Outing Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic). Any vacancy occurring in the Membership Committee may be filled by the Chairman or by the President. The Annual Outing Committee's primary responsibility is to plan all details of the Council's Annual Outing, the Annual Membership Meeting, and any associated alternative events.
Bylaws Committee
This committee oversees the bylaws and give legal direction when needed to the board.
Sponsor Committee
The sponsor committee actively pursues sponsors for the year.
Welcome Committee
The President shall annually select from the Members of the Board of Directors one chairpersons of the Welcoming Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other Members to serve as the Young Professionals Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic). Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Committee may be filled by the President. The Welcoming Committee shall help ensure all visitors and new members feel welcome at Council events, develop and disseminate Council information and marketing materials to visitors and new members, and integrate new members into Council activities. This Committee will serve to foster active membership as well as retain and attract new members.

The President shall annually select from the Members of the Board of Directors one chairperson of the Young Professionals Committee who shall appoint a Committee consisting of no more than six (6) other Members to serve as the Young Professionals Committee. The Committee shall comprise no more than one (1) Member from each Membership Group (Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Trust, Valuation and Philanthropic).
Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Committee may be filled by the President. The Young Professionals Committee's primary responsibilities are to engage young professionals with the Council through outreach, educational events, networking events, social events, and other activities deemed appropriate by the Committee. The Committee coordinates events with other Council committees to help grow membership and enhance Member networking opportunities for young professionals.
