About the presentation: Social Security is one of the most complicated pension programs ever created. Governed by over 2,700 rules, most couples have over 500 possible filing options. Unfortunately, over 90% of filers end up receiving less money than they are eligible to receive. In this presentation, we will cover the major Social Security rules you should know, with a specific focus on spousal benefits, ex-spousal benefits, survivor benefits, child and child-in-care benefits.  In addition, we will cover strategies unique to high net worth individual, business owner and the taxation of benefits. Understanding these rules and filing strategies will help ensure filers optimize their benefits and do not leave any money on the table!

  • Have an understanding of the major Social Security rules you should know, including the rules which govern spousal, ex-spousal, survivor, child and child-in care benefits. In addition, you will learn specific filing strategies to optimally integrate Social Security benefits into a tax efficient retirement income plan and an estate tax plan, as well as filing strategies specific to high net-worth individuals and business owners.
